A couple weeks ago we showed you the most popular work apps used by designers. This time we turn our attention to software developers.
So which work-related apps are most used by software developers, particularly those at startups and small tech-driven businesess? Below is an infographic showing results across a range of categories, from bug tracking to web hosting. We also included some hidden gems and trending apps among this audience.
Let’s be clear that our sample selection is not representative of all developers. We pulled this data from 500+ early users of BestVendor who are developers. All work for companies with fewer than 100 employees, and the vast majority work in the startup-tech world. The fact that they signed up for the BestVendor beta suggests that they’re early adopters.
Still, isn’t it interesting to see what this crowd uses? Will their preferences and habits be a harbinger for others? Let us know what you think.
