Does Quickbooks under Payroll include Paycycle/Intuit online payroll and all these options combined together http://payroll.intuit.com/compare/compare-quickbooks-payroll.jsp?ncid=WCN_PRL_SecNav|VAPP_paym or just Quickbooks payroll desktop based or just Quickbooks payroll service (wich is different from Paycycle) ?
Thanks for the survey results! Small web based business needed this type of survey / analysis for quite some time.
Hi Natalia,
To answer your question:
- “Quickbooks” includes the online and desktop based version but only the Quickbooks brand.
- “Intuit” incudes the original flagship Intuit and their online product (which is Paycycle).
As you can see they were 1-2.
Hope this helps,
Rawson
Cool infographic! Re the business intelligence category, I would class Google Analytics (the most popular) as web analytics as opposed to pure business intelligence. It would be nice to see bime in the business intelligence category too as being a SaaS solution, it is an easy-to-use affordable tool that helps SMBs turn their data into dollars.
Hi,
what tool is meant with the green leaf logo in the top middle square about software as a service? I don’t know it.
Thanks
I’d guess FreshBooks, which I use and love. The other leaf logo is Mint which I also love, but that’s personal finance, not business.
Hi!
I just wanted to check something about your Collaboration/Wiki category. Did people really answer with “JIRA”? That’s our bug tracker. It’s definitely collaborative, but I was surprised to see that in this specific category. Our collaboration/wiki is called Confluence. Just thought I’d check. Thanks!
It’s great to see Atlassian tools in a few of the categories.

Very cool… this is hard-to-find info. One more category I wish was covered… transactional email. After much searching, our start-up selected PostageApp… very pleased. Maybe this category will be added to the next iteration of the survey? Gracias.
you should check out these reviews — quite awesome as a starting point to make a decision about a tool

Every startup (especially lean) needs cheap sources of new customers. That’s why tools like InviteBox are very important as they provide easy way to reach them. Rewarding your existing users for spreading the word about your business might be very effective strategy and Dropbox proved it by its legendary referral program.
